This was my second time getting to shoot in Echo Lake Park in Evergreen, Colorado . Katie and Peter are from Denver, Colorado. I got so excited when they flew me out for their engagement session. These two are the absolute best and soooo laid back. They brought their favorite craft beers with them. They sat on a nearby rock and just shared and cheered their beers with eachother. My partner, Dan, got to come out with me and we all just had the best time hanging out, drinking some craft brews, exploring, and laughing A WHOLE LOT. We found an amazing overlook for photos and walked and explored the forrest until a little before sunset. I can not wait to be back in Denver, Colorado in October 2019 to shoot their wedding!
BONUS, when they asked if they could bring their Golden Doodle, Lenny, to the session. UM WHAT — YASSSS! Literally didn’t even think and told them they HAD to, as long as he’d be okay in the snow because it was cold! (You can see Lenny’s Instagram here | GIVE HIM A FOLLOW!)
We were so excited to get this little forest to explore and walk around together.
The morning before their session, Dan and I found this amazing – hidden – overlook. We drove all the way up Squaw Pass Rd and just wanted to just find the perfect sunrise spot. Dan and I stopped at a parking lot/rest spot off the road and I looked around. Dan didn’t see anything but the photographer in me FELT IT.
I ran out of the car and up into the woods. After running up the hill, this beautiful overlook presented itself.
I MEAN COME ON.
Seriously the best time with these two. I can’t wait for their wedding in Denver, Colorado this fall and to hang out with them again. They were the sweetest and invite my partner to just come and party at their wedding. Amazing. I love my job.
