Luke + Lindsay | The Buckeye Barn Wedding | Piqua, Ohio Wedding Photographer

Luke and Lindsay

Luke and Lindsay’s gorgeous, fall October wedding at the Buckeye Barn in Piqua, Ohio was so fun and full of smiles. This was my second time shooting at the Buckeye Barn and each time it gets better and better! The day was as fun as the photo above. There was a fun lavender toss right after the ceremony where they both got in a vintage Chevrolet and zoomed off to their house they just bought to take some portraits together. I absolutely LOVE the personal touches my couples add into their day. After that we drove over to Lindsay’s parents house to take the wedding party photos. Such a fun time! This group was so enthusiastic and cooperative and made the photos what they are.

This lavender toss was so fun! Lindsay and Luke were so excited by the vintage Chevrolet that Lindsay’s mom surprised them with!

I don’t think Lindsay ever stopped smiling!

She was just so dang excited to marry her best friend.

Luke held Lindsay’s flowers SO MANY TIMES. It was the cutest.

Their details were so simple but gorgeous.

Lindsay’s sister gave her Maid-of-Honor speech in roller skates. She rolled around the dance floor and it was amazing. Lindsay’s grandparents also had a dance off and it was incredible and I cried. I am seriously a sap for love that’s lastly a lifetime.

No sparklers here! They had a glow-stick send off. SUCH A BLAST!

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET CATE

Photographer, artist, mother, occasional painter, inspired by music videos, film, and nostalgia.

At a young age, I was engrossed with storytelling. Writing short stories on a thrifted type writer. Filming music videos to my favorite songs. A school project wasn’t just papier-mâché, it was a production with costumes, music, and visual effects. Now, with photographs, documenting a wedding day of all its moments of little touches, side glances, stolen kisses, hidden tears, and belly laughs. I can’t but help but bottle up the day, transport a memory from a feeling to something you can hold onto.
