After 35 weddings in 2019 alone, I photographed a good array of wedding venues. Ranging from barns, backyards, restaurants, parks, and in the dead of the city. These are (in my opinion) are the best Ohio wedding venues to have an intimate wedding at with the nearest and dearest to your heart. Even if you are having hundreds of guests, these venues would still be perfect but the vibe of these venues is my favorite. As the 2020 wedding season is beginning, I will be updating or adding to this list and narrowing down by the city.
01. Magnolia Hill Farm
Magnolia Hill Farm is a natural-light-filled venue. Both the reception space and veranda are bright and allow plenty of light for your photographer and videographer. The property is also a working flower farm and sits atop 10 acres. Some items included are, farmhouse chairs, tables, indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces, parking, gorgeous sunsets, a prep kitchen for caterers, and a wedding party getting ready suite.

02. The French House
The French House is an early 20th-century wedding venue located in French Park. Inside the home is stunning natural light for indoor portraits. The French House has spaces for both married persons to get ready with natural light. The home has a romantic outdoor ceremony space with tented reception options in the Sunken Garden or gazebo area.

03. Birch Manor
This place is a hidden gem. You can get married outside but there is also a tent in case of the weather! Located in Glen Helen, this venue also had a gorgeous historic house built in the 1930s. The inside of the house was gorgeous for cocktail hour and some portraits. You can drape textiles or florals from this gorgeous and old tree in the grassy area like Kathleen and Alan did above!
04. Timeless Charm Weddings & Events
OH, MAN! If you are wanting a barn AND a woodland vibe, this venue is it. This amphitheater.-like ceremony space was breathtaking overlooking the woods. Jenna and Jovid’s wedding above was in November during the AMAZING fall colors. We got to go back into the property to explore the forest, river, and bridge. There are a few lodges to get ready in, and outdoor pavilion, and catering available. PS: The catering at J+J’s wedding was Italian and AMAZING!
Address: 1259 Swann Beatty Rd, Camden, OH 45311
05. Jorgensen Farms
This is one of my favorite places in Columbus. Jorgensen has two sperate venues within it. The Historic Barn and Oaks grove. There’s a gorgeous barn where you can get married in the garden courtyard like above. In Oak Grove, there is a greenhouse structure where your ceremony can take place and then a beautiful reception space.

06. The Mercantile
The Mercantile is such a hidden venue but so quaint and cute. They have a bridal suite, makeup room, groom/partner suite, an outdoor ceremony space, and open barn space for your reception. There is also a fun covered patio to host the cocktail hour and open bar!
Address: 8 3rd Ave, Mt Sterling, OH 43143
07. Inn At Oneonta
This was a perfect venue for Brandon and Brittany’s summer wedding! this venue is tucked into this cute little town. You can have a house or two to get ready in separate, white tons of spaces to get gorgeous photos. The tent and covered area for the reception isn’t tacky and the globe lights were gorgeous at sundown. The ceremony outdoor space was gorgeous overlooking the river and they even served the guest wine as they sat! Not a bad angle in the whole venue!
Address: 7729 Mary Ingles Hwy, Melbourne, KY 41059
08. The Steam Plant
The Steam Plant is elegance meets industrial. it is an old power generating plant turned wedding venue. With huge arched windows, 30-foot ceilings, exposed beams and brick, and a built-in two-story bar! The getting ready suite upstairs with mirrors and hair & makeup chairs are a HAMU artist’s dream with all the natural light. I have shot a wedding in the summer and the winter, and neither disappointed. You can have your ceremony inside or outside in a cute courtyard area.
Address: 617 E 3rd St, Dayton, OH 45402
09. The Willow Tree
The ceremony area has a gorgeous tree as well as a view of the 1830’s home and pond! The reception takes place in the newly renovated celebration barn that has a structured cover instead of a tent covered an extended seating area. The getting ready area is inside the old home and gorgeous for photos!

10. The Buckeye Barn
The Buckeye Barn is a mix of everything! You can have your ceremony outside overlooking the field of corn or flowers and decorate the arch! There are plenty of beautiful places to take family photos as well are portraits. There is a ton of parking. The barn is super spacious and two levels.
